It's a home ..

I've never forgotten my obstetrician's words the moment my boy came into this world and made me a Mum. "Congratulations!" My obstetrician beamed "This is the easiest part, the labour. The hardest part is raising your child ." I believed him then. I understand his words fully now.

I came across this quote and it's one of my all time favourite soon after. Speaks so much truth. “The most difficult part of birth is the first year afterwards. It is the year of travail – when the soul of a woman must birth the mother inside her. The emotional labour pains of becoming a mother are far greater than the physical pangs of birth; these are the growing surges of your heart as it pushes out selfishness and fear and makes room for sacrifice and love. It is a private and silent birth of the soul, but it is no less holy than the event of childbirth, perhaps it is even more sacred.” – Joy Kusek

Spring feels like ...

I"m so looking forward to spring and everything it's promised.

A new beginning, a fresh start,

hair blowing in the wind,

sun kiss

longer days and warmer nights,

cool breeze

bare arms.

We spent one Saturday wondering around the Opera House with ice cream in our hands just like a tourist. We sat along the water and had coffee, white wine and just chilled. The kids had lots of fun chasing seagulls and doing relays up and down the Opera House steps.

On another Saturday, we walked along the streets of Avalon and wandered through the shops. I feel at home  here for some reason. We bought fairy lights to decorate my precious girl's room and some candles to reminds us of the smell of the sea and watermelon. We stopped by the Boathouse for a late lunch and played on the beach.

These are just a few images that reminds me of what those days feels like. Lazy days like these with no activities or a schedule to be anywhere really calms me and refreshes my soul.

How do you like to spend your weekend? :)

Hello world ...

I'm so glad you've found your way here.

The birth of this website and blog gives me mixed feelings. I'm petrified and feeling a little naked, but free. Does that even make sense to you?

For those who don't know who I am, my name is Anh. You can read more about me here. I enjoy reading and writing but I'm not good at both so I'm hoping that this blog is my beginning - learning and self improvement. My mind is like traffic during peak hour with lots of honking all happening so I'm working towards managing the traffic and being able to direct the vehicles to its destination one by one, in peace.

To be honest,  I'm not 100% sure of what contents will be posted here but I hope it's something that I will have an answer to as I post more and more. It will be so magical if this becomes a platform where I can get to connect with like-minded individuals. I hope somehow we can all learn and support each other. Let's create something meaningful together?
